Getting to know Medicinal Plants


Defined as a medicinal plant species are in part, the whole plant and or exudates of these plants used as medicine, materials, or herbs. Other experts classify medicinal plants into three groups, namely:
1.      Traditional medicinal plants are plant species that are known or believed
communities have medicinal properties and has been used as a raw material of traditional medicine.

2.      Plants of modern medicine is a species of plant which has been scientifically evidenced contain bioactive compounds or medicinal materials and their use can be accounted for medically.
3.      Plants of potential medicinal plant species which are suspected to contain or has a compound or material biokatif but not yet proven medicinal use scientifically-medical as medicine.
